A recognised qualification can widen the roles you can apply for: qualified teacher status, nursing tests of competence, IT certificates, construction trades and English tests.
Since 22 July 2025 many roles below degree level can no longer sponsor new Skilled Worker applicants. Care worker roles can't sponsor applicants from outside the UK, and some trades are on GOV.UK's shortage lists only until 31 December 2026. Each course shows the current GOV.UK rule for the jobs it leads to.
